Different level of representations.
Every house and every planet represents many different things. These things can be separated in Jeeva Karaka & Ajeeva Karaka -
But then a further distinction can be made on the basis of level of representations. Every house and every planet can have 3 different levels of representations. These are Body, Mind and Soul level of representations.
a. Body level representation is the lowest level of representation as it only helps in sustaining the body.
b. Mind level representation is the middle level of representation as it nourishes the mind.
c. Soul level representation is the highest level of representation as it helps in evolution of soul.
We can relate these levels with Tamas-Rajas-Sattva guna also where Tamas is body level, Rajas is mind level and Sattva is soul level.
For example,
Venus' body level representation is Wealth as we need wealth for sustaining our physical body.
Venus' mind level representation is Relationship as our mind feels good when we are in relationship.
Venus' soul level representation is service and devotion as it helps in further soul evolution. That's why, Venus is exalted in most spiritual sign Pisces.
Now, these different levels of representation are also the reason why different astrologers may have different opinions on same chart. A good astrologer may take Venus' highest representation while interpreting a chart whereas a minuscule astrologer like me may take mundane representation of wealth with regard to Venus.
But it is advised that astrologers should always look for the highest level of representation of any house or any planet as that is the highest possibility or potential that chart or person has. Thats the highest level he can achieve in this life.
One can say that if we take highest interpretation of Venus as service then what about wealth factor? We still need wealth in life to sustain ourselves.
That's true but when you aim for highest level then lowest level is always covered. When you devote yourself to service of others then Universe will automatically take care of your basic needs through the same people.
We have to trust Universe someday.
