We all are one

Recent unpleasant events; like Wars, Accidents, Crimes and Crashes, have made me go into deep reflection as to how we all are interconnected and interdependent. In this article, I am trying to reduce into writing the same reflections.

Perusal of these articles may help us in understanding that how much mind is functioning as per Gunas of Nature (Rajas, Satva and Tamas) and we all have a “tool” functioning behind this mind named as Consciousness by which we can navigate through these Gunas.

Also, Consciousness can be understood as Divine or Existential Consciousness of the whole existence too and when a very small part of the same consciousness functions through an individual, it is called Human Consciousness.

So, to start with, imagine this whole existence as an Ocean. We can also say that it is an Ocean of Consciousness. Now, we all are floating within this Ocean at a certain level.

Those who are floating at a higher level, almost at a surface level, of this Ocean are Satvic Prominent people. Percentage of Satva is higher in them. They are like Teachers, Guides, Mentors, Gurus and Sages etc.

Those who are floating at the mid-level of this Ocean are Rajasic Prominent people. Percentage of Rajas is higher in them. They are like creative people or power-seeking people.

Those who are floating at the base level of this Ocean are Tamasic Prominent people. Percentage of Tamas is higher in them. They are like inactive people or destructive people.

We all have one or the other Guna prominent within us; either Satva, Rajas or Tamas etc. If you want to understand which Guna you are prominent with then start analyzing yourself from Tamasic Guna qualities and then move to higher Gunas. These Gunas are within us at different percentages and every action/decision we make in life brings a change in these Gunas accordingly. We can also say that every situation in life is an opportunity to improve or evolve through Gunas by making better choice.

Someone can ask what if there is a person who is at balanced level of Gunas; i.e. he is at equal percentage of Gunas. That person has become Ocean himself. One with existence or consciousness.

Now, as the whole existence is an Ocean of Consciousness, even a little bit of activity at any level of this Ocean disturbs the whole Ocean, either positively or negatively. It is just like when even a little drop falls into the River, it creates ripples which go on spreading. So, any action anywhere in this whole existence stirs something for all of us.

It is like if a thread gets disturbed then it disturbs the whole fabric. Or it is like if I strike a wrong musical note then it disturbs the whole symphony.

Ram Dass says that even if one person attains consciousness (awakening) then it helps in improving the consciousness of the whole world. It is because this awakened person will come in contact with 1000s of people and they will be influenced by him if they are receptive towards him.

Likewise, even if one person involves in any destructive activity, he destroys many lives along with his own which leads to destruction for whole existence at certain level.

This is what many Holy Books say – “whoever saves one life, it is as if he had saved all of mankind”. I feel that its reverse should also be true - “whoever kills one life, it is as if he had killed all of mankind”

Now, the biggest problem is that we are unable to see the apparent results of this concept in daily life. Our biggest illusion is the sense of separation that “I am separate from existence and my life only depends on me and my actions will decide the course of my life”.

We need to realize that for even the smallest of actions or events, we need support of all the people involved or necessary for the event and support of the whole existence. As I normally say that for even writing this article depends on the support of whole existence. Best example is that I was about to start a new teaching class from July, 2025 but now they are postponed till early next year at least.

So, one event depends on so many collateral events and so many people who are involved that it can be only a delusional idea that one person is separate from another and he is separate from existence.

Now, as we have this idea of separation from existence then another idea will automatically take place that I need to take actions in my life to make my life better. We cannot imagine that existence is allowing us to act that’s why; we are able to act. Ram Dass had some amazing realizations after Paralytic Stroke where he realized how much his life is dependent on others. This realization for Ram Dass was apparent for him as he was in a Paralytic State but somehow as our body is functioning, this idea of interdependence never strikes us.

Also, as we identify ourselves as Body & Mind and then we see these functioning, taking actions (body) and taking decisions (mind), it becomes almost impossible for us to accept that we are not the doers and everything is happening on its own.

In such situations, this little reflection will help us that we all tried to do many things but they didn’t happen and we all never tried to do many things in life but they did happen. Hence, realizing that Acting is also a part of Happening ( https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/DOINGispartofHAPPENING )would help us to acknowledge that we are beyond Body and Mind.

For most of us, this is a whole new concept that we are neither body nor mind but settled somewhere beyond them in pure consciousness. Body and Mind are supposed to function as per the Gunas of Nature and consciousness makes us conscious of these actions.

Unless and until Body and Mind exhaust one level of Guna, it cannot even appreciate the idea of another level of Guna. Once a person wakes up in consciousness then not only he becomes conscious of his Body-Mind’s current level of choices among Gunas but this waking consciousness also helps him in navigating through different levels of consciousness (from Tamas to Rajas to Satva).

So, our job is to first reach this wakeful consciousness and then utilize it as a tool to navigate through Gunas in order to balance Gunas percentage which would bring ultimate liberation into manifestation.

And this is what is the utilization of any esoteric knowledge like Astrology, Tarot, Numerology, and Palmistry etc. As I see, predictions of future events is the most childish way of utilizing these occult knowledge. I feel that they should be used to navigate our consciousness to rise at higher levels. Astrological Consultations should tell people as to what they “should be” doing in life then the mundane stuff like marriage date or job change date.

A person should be able to realize through occult consultation that if he is utilizing his energy at higher level (Satva) or at lower level (Tamas) and how to navigate energy towards higher levels.

Now, if we come back at our main topic, even if X person has raised his consciousness at Satvic Level doesn’t mean that everyone in the world has become Satvic. He still has to deal with people who are at different levels of consciousness.

Dev Dutt was although Brother and Disciple of Gautam The Buddha and stayed in Buddha’s Ashram for years but it didn’t change anything in Dev Dutt and he attempted to kill Buddha many a times.

Hence, it is inevitable that no matter at what level you are, you still have to deal with people at all levels and they all can initiate the possibility of good/bad events in your life based on their influence on the event. You may be the most Satvic person in this world but what if your Cab Driver is a Tamasic person and he is driving under drug’s influence. I hope you get my point.

This is where I said that we all are interdependent and interconnected in this existence. Lao Tsu says in Tao Te Ching that “A Good person is Teacher for a Bad person and a Bad person is a Lesson for a Good person”. It basically means that we all can learn something from each other and we should and that’s how we can evolve.

This whole idea of interdependence and interconnectedness reminds me of the concept of The Butterfly Effect ( https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/Butterfly ) as to how one action leads to another and eventually the final event looks like nowhere connected with initial event but if we can connect the events then we will see the connection.

Now, if I truly understand this concept of interdependence and interconnectedness then I can’t say that why should I be concerned if a few wars are happening in far west countries. I would know that sooner or later the impact of wars would hit me. It is again like a drop falling into the river. It will create ripples and those ripples will go on till eternity. If humanity is suffering in some part of the world then it cannot remain happy in other part of the world as nothing separates us except a wall of Air.

As we can see that everything and everyone is are interdependent and interconnected and at most we can only take care of our own evolution then this concept can also help us in reaching a deep state of surrender and acceptance knowing that existence knows what type of people or events or situations should come in our lives which would provide us best environment for evolving self.

Then we can leave it all on existence. As Krishna says in Bhagvad Geeta that “I (Consciousness/Energy) am behind all actions and events of this existence”, we can surrender to the divine to decide who we meet in life and who we separate from in life. This type of surrender will be accepting the true concept of destiny.

I say these days, Algorithm which existence follows is the best and most perfect one.
