I am yet to verify it on at least 50 charts, so for now I will continue with traditional approach of 5th and 9th aspects of Rahu. Ideal placement for Rahu is to sit with an exalted planet, then it takes all the qualities of the exalted planet and amplifies them.

Though there is disagreements over this opinion among astrologers but Rahu in Taurus is considered as an Exlted Rahu by many. Reason is simple. Rahu represents obsession and material wealth and in the sign of Taurus, it gets all the opportunity to receive that material wealth as Taurus is ruled by wealth giving Venus and is sign of wealth and assets. So, these people love to get wealth. They can be filthy rich. Whatever they want to have, has to be the best. And they are able to do that because Rahu being obsessive for wealth is ready to do whatever it can to get it and they are even ready to cheat others. So, anywhere Rahu will show one or the other malefic qualities. This position also suggests someone gaining money through Foreign/Unusual/Illegal ways. Overall, it is one of better positions of Rahu because its material desires is somewhat quenched.There are two ways to look at the results of all these acts. Some people say that all these acts are paying them money in the end, hence they are doing it. I feel that money is the most natural outcome of any work. You do any work in this world and you will get money. There is no work in the world which doesn't pay you back. So, I feel that the basic fact that they are dedicating themselves to a higher cause is meaningful and most important. Money is an outcome which is bound to come.
