DOING is part of HAPPENING
During one of the teaching classes, we were discussing the most popular concept of Fate Vs Free Will. One of the students commented in favor of Free Will that “if I stop doing what I am doing in my life then how it is going to happen.”
From surface, it looks like a very logical reasoning in favor of Free Will but if we look deep down, we may have a few other realizations.
Let’s understand with this example first -
Suppose there is a huge machine established in an Industry to improve production. It is functioning or active through Power/Electricity. This machine has the main purpose of improving production and many of its small parts contribute together in achieving that main purpose.
Now one fine day, one of the parts of this huge machine has stopped working and because of that production has decreased or stopped altogether. Under this situation, what will Industry owner do?
A. Will he close down the whole Industry? Or
B. Will he reduce the target of production and adjust with malfunctioned machinery? Or
C. Will he repair the part and resume the work? Or
D. Will he just replace the malfunctioned part and resume the normal work?
As I see, any intelligent Industry Owner will opt for 3rd or 4th option and either repair or replace the malfunctioned part to resume the normal work.
Now, apply this example to our life and the whole existence.
Understand this whole existence as a huge machinery which is functioning through Energy.
Nature (Rocks, Plants, Rivers, Mountains, Grounds etc.), Animal and Humans are small parts of this machinery. We are all performing our respective roles in order to accomplish the higher purpose of complete and total functioning of this existential machinery.
Now, if one or a few of us decide that if I don’t perform my role in the functioning of this existential machinery then how this machinery will function?
Then no worries, existence will replace this person with another person who is ready to perform the same role and existential machinery will continue to function. No one is irreplaceable here.
We are only parts of machinery and we should never try to overthink our role in this machinery. Our existence as a part depends on the whole machinery. We are required only till the time we are cooperating with the higher purpose of existential machinery. The moment we try to be non-cooperative towards the existence then either existence corrects us by giving a few difficult omens/indications/experiences in life or existence will replace us.
If some event is supposed to take place as per existential plan then it doesn’t matter if the individual is aligned with it or resisting it, existence can create thousands of reasons that will lead to the manifestation of that one event.
Likewise, if an event is not supposed to take place as per existential plan, then no matter how hard an individual is trying for, existence can create thousands of reasons to prevent that one event from happening.
This fact we can see from our own lives too. We all tried to accomplish many goals in our lives but we could achieve only a few of those which were aligned with the larger existential plan. So, we can function well only in alignment with the existential plan.
Now, how to know what is the existential plan?
Just let-go of your egoistic plans and everything else is existential plan. It means that even after trying your sincere best for a goal, if you only find barriers and hurdles etc. then understand that your plan is not in alignment with the existential plan.
Finally, what we think as individual doing is also a part of Existential Happening. We are functioning as a part of existential machinery and must accept ourselves as such. We should never think that whole machinery will stop if we stop doing our role.
Hope this helps. Thanks,
